“COUSIN” Gibbard’s tour dates

MY HISTORY: “COUSIN” Gibbard Suede. Here’s all you need to know: I have no complaints from my childhood, I came from a good blue collar family and enjoyed sports and education.  I went through high school “under the radar.” I was never tortured and never the torturer, just one of those kids who managed to graduate without getting suspended. University was an eye opener to diversity and the freedom to do your thing.  My thing became the performer to the point where it took priority over why I was supposed to be there.  Maybe I graduated but it didn’t matter because I was hooked on music. And music was freedom. Freedom to go anywhere and do anything one chose to do. And it presented its temptations, good n bad. You know there are lots of good musicians on the road, people with real talent and desire chasing the dream and trying to be the one that reaches the level of greatest. Some get there, most don’t. I was not one of the chosen ones and that became a hard reality for a long stretch of my life.

Obscurity is an extremely lonely state of mind, you don’t always make the right choices and you don’t always get second chances. This is my second chance at making it for the first time in music and that’s all you need to know about my history.

My real autobiography is in the songs and stories that are presented on the stage. The stage. That’s my book, my theatre.
